I made this meme because I know deep down that Donald Trump will do anything in his power to become president again. No matter if he has a criminal record, went to jail before, or murder someone, he will not let anything stop him from achieving his goal, like a villain in a movie. He wants to make our country "great again" while in reality, he'll make our country even worse than before and cause mayhem once again. This meme shows trump playing a UNO card game. Trump has two choices to make. He has to either become president again with criminal record and turn the United States to a even worse country. Or he can simply draw 25 cards. Knowing trump, he'll choose the first option because we all know how he is.
Susan Sontag, excerpt from On Photography
"Photographs, which fiddle with the scale of the world, themselves get reduced, blown up, cropped, retouched, doctored, tricked out. They age, plagued by the usual ills of paper objects; they disappear; they become valuable, and get bought and sold; they are reproduced."
Photographs today have there own personal value to other people and they keep them for their own benefit. However, there are galleries with a bunch of photographs where people can observe them and analyze what they are looking at. Sometimes people want to buy a photograph for a specific price and other times people sell their own photographs for simply money. Photographs can be rare nowadays and the more rare it is, the more money the person receives.
"Photographs furnish evidence. Something we hear about, but doubt, seems proven when we're shown a photograph of it. In one version of its utility, the camera record incriminates."
Photographs can be very useful for collecting evidence. The police and detectives use photographs to analyze the crime scene and collect data from it as well. Photographs are a huge source of evidence and can be proof to accuse on a specific person in court. Without photographs, it will be harder for the police force to find evidence in general.
Introduction and Chapter 1
"Most people would not define themselves as activists either. Yet, in a sense, we all do forms of activism every day." Introduction page 5.
People become activist everyday and sometimes they don't realize it. They perform activism every now and than. For example, a person can organize a group of people to go to a movie or picking a restaurant, talking a friend out of a bad relationship, lobbying parents for extra screen time or your boss for a raise. We perform these activism so it can satisfy us or for the other person.
"The problem with art, from an artistic perspective, is that this power is wasted."
Art can move us so emotionally but at the end of the day, it's power gets wasted. For example, a painting hangs on the wall of a museum and it moves us. And then, all too often, we move on. We leave that experience, and it's power, behind when we leave the museum. We see one artwork that is so impressive and amazing and once we don't see it again, it's not amazing anymore, like the power of art just cut us loose.
