I made this meme because last week's readings mentioned the contradictions that many had about former President Donald Trump. I remember that during his presidency, one of his main motives was to eradicate immigration, something that I personally do not see well and clearly will never see well because I belong to an immigrant family, whose parents have suffered too much to serve the country and it is devastating that Despite that, there is so much discrimination and zero reciprocity on the part of government people.

Quotes:

1st reading

"The most grandiose result of the photographic enterprise is to give us the sense that we can hold the whole world in our heads -- as an anthology of images." I chose this quote because it expresses a reality that is possible today and that was not possible many years ago. The quality of the cameras and the simplicity of capturing photos and videos in a very fast and efficient way has meant that when looking at a photo we teleport to the moment it was taken.

"The first cameras, made in France and England in the early 1840s, had only inventors and buffs to operate them."

Today the use of the camera and photography is an action that everyone has access to, from infants to the elderly, which is an example of globalization and the progress that this creation has had.

2nd reading/ The Art of Activism

"The phrase "stepping off the curb" refers to the moment that one leaves the sidewalk and enters the street to join a protest, but in a broader sense it means making the step from passive indifference into active engagement"

This phrase refers to when a person who shares the protest or struggle of a movement decides to join the support of said ideology in an active way, either by being part of the protest or seeking to help lead it, that is, moving from passive support to active support.

"If knowledge is power, and knowledge is now so freely available, then why does power still remain firmly in the hands of a few?"
This phrase interrogatively frames a reality that is experienced in society. Although knowledge is totally globalized and within the reach of the majority of the global population, this power acquired through knowledge is still in the hands of a few because it does not exist. an interest of a majority to acquire knowledge, but an interest of a few.
