The call to "defund the police" emerged as a response to longstanding concerns about police misconduct, racial bias, and the need for criminal justice reform. Advocates argue that reallocating a portion of police budgets towards social services and community-based initiatives could help address the root causes of crime and improve public safety. Although, Defunding the police will prevent them from protecting and serving, and many officers will start to leave, leaving us without any police to keep us safe.

I have never analyzed photo in this way. Photographs can be viewed as a form of evidence.
"To photograph is to appropriate the thing photographed. It means putting oneself into a certain relation to the world that feels like knowledge -- and, therefore, like power."
This definitely spoke to this is a very deep quote from the reading that caught my attention.
Art of activism:
"You will have your own unique story of what led you to step off the curb. Whatever it was, it was likely a powerful experience."
This quote stood out to me. The quote is abruptly saying that you are in control of your destiny.
"The scale will fall from their eyes"
People will tend to wake up out of their people will become aware of what is happening after they awaken from their state of ignorance.
