This is What I Know About Art by Kimberly Drew

 Due October 18, 2023

~ If being in an arts has taught me anything, it is that one of the wisest things anyone can say is "I don't know."

This shows me that I shouldn't be afraid to say or admit when I don't know something. Cause if I don't know what I'm doing or talking about then if I say "I don't know" then I am going to be taught or informed and know what I am supposed to do and become wiser.

~ "There was a point in my career where I feared my anger"

At some point we are going to fear something and fear is something that we all have even at a young and old age. When we are younger we are scared of ghost, the dark and stuff like that. And when we are older we are afraid of not being successful, not being enough to become what ever you want to be.

~ "I let the cockiness get the best of me when the Whitney Museum announced its artists list for the 2014 Whitney Biennial."

I feel that we should all stay on our feet we shouldn't let our pride, cockiness, or money get in the way of anything when we are starting or already succeed we should always remember where we came from and how rough, and tough it was to be where they are now. And always stay humble.

~ This image stood out to me because it shows how when the case of George Floyd people started going against the cops because they were "racist, unfair". When they just wanted to do their job the right way. They started to be scared of saying anything to color people because they didn't want to be called racist or anything like that. And this kind of related to the book and quotes because people started judging police officers without really knowing them.
