My original intervention idea was to host a paint and sip with discussion themes, and I had created a flyer promoting the first event as “Palestinian Coffee House”. an event intended to humanize Palestinians by sharing Palestinian culture and history through food.
However, amidst current events, I felt it necessary and more beneficial to instead create a flyer to combat the current misinformation in the media.
The Palestinian people have been under occupation since the Nakba in 1948. Palestinian civilians have been confined in Gaza for the past 16 years. Resistance is justified when people are occupied. Today I want to take the opportunity to share any information I can with you all and clarify any misconceptions within my knowledge.
