This meme captures a joke joke about how people they aren't political. These people typically try to avoid political conversations and are sometimes of the younger generation. I myself am one of those people who in the past have said I am not political but I didn't feel fully comfortable or knowledgeable in the specific area of discussion. I also use it as a cop out to avoid being questioned on my views and ideas. With this mindset I chose to just focus on my own personal everyday life and not get to caught up in what's going on in the world around me. In a way, I can admit this is choosing to be ignorant and not taking apart in activist sort of activities. but it also allows me to keep a peace of mind and focus what I have going on day to day. However, during the time of presidential elections. I am definitely a person that becomes very opinionated and frustrated about who our candidates are and usually has a strong disgust about the political atmosphere at that time. This meme shows the contradiction between a conflicted person and their views/ relationship to politics.
Quotes from Susan Sontag- On Photography:
"Photographed images do not seem to be statements about the world so much as pieces of it, miniatures of reality that anyone can make or acquire."I enjoyed this quote because its brings light to the beauty of how photographs and be used, viewed, and the versatility of photos. Photographs can become apart of the world we see because that do so well with capturing moments and making those moments last forever.
"Although there is a sense in which the camera does indeed capture reality, not just interpret it, photographs are as much an interpretation of the world as paintings and drawings are." Kind of relative to what the previous quote mentioned, this one expands more on how photographs become interpretations of our world. They show us different perspectives of our reality, similar to the way drawings and paintings do too
